Ag Speed Dating Gets Upstate California's Attention

Prior to launching Ag Speed Dating in February 2011, BCEDC's Ag Innovation Committee met for two years.

Spurred on by the USDA's report - Jobs, Economic Development & Sustainable Communities in February of 2010, BCEDC began to formulate a plan. Good reports and information have been plentiful by government and other agencies and organizations. —The economy and common sense required immediate action. BCEDC decided to take a leap. Today, our model is being looked out throughout the Upstate California region, which covers a 20-county area. It will complement a much larger endeavor - Upstate California's first regional Food Expo - lead by Upstate California Economic Development Council.
